BACKGROUND
SA Weighbridge and Coal Control was originally founded in 1998 and has grown into a respected and well-known Black Economic Empowerment company in 2011. The subsequent growth of this company reflected client confidence and the success of the company in providing a professional service over a broad range of mining and services industries.

The Company’s mission is to add value and create wealth for our clients, our shareholders, our employees and society. We pursue our mission through the application of services excellence to the contract projects that we conceive and execute in partnership with our clients.

SAFETY
Our Group believe in the highest standards of safety not only internally through policies and training but also externally on each and every Contract or Site we offer our services to our Clients, Safety means establishing a environment through standards, policies, legislation and training inclusive of management to allow a secured safe environment to work, as well as the actions and reactions of our employees on sites of contracts.
Safety also includes the maintenance of machinery, trucks, trailers, plant hire equipment, loading of coal or equipment, regular services and training understanding the mechanics of equipment by Operators and Drivers, and identifying dangers to stop operations whilst safe equipment, tools, or machinery is exchanged to minimize production losses and valuable man hours.
Safety includes regular maintenance of roads on sites to ensure a safe and smooth passage of our machinery and trucks, as well as road signage grading and identifying and removal of obstacles endangering lives and equipment. Successful contractual obligations toward servicing our Clients start with ensuring a safe working and operational environment. Understanding our Clients safety policies and standards also ensure that we render the best standards of safety on Contracts.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Our Group believe in protecting our working environment through firstly understanding the importance of protecting our environment, water resources , vegetation and wildlife, creating a love of our country ensures a natural habit to protect our environment except for legislative policies we study, and understand it remains a obligation of not only our Group and Employees but of all South Africans to protect our environment for our next generations to come. This includes a clean working environment, dust control on operations, and well planned rehabilitation of works and places after completion of contracts.
TRAINING & HUMAN RESOURCES
No Company can be successful without investing in their employees, only well trained employees can offer as a combined team the best services to our Clients, a well trained employee creates a love for his work. Regular training for each different category of work and responsibilities generates proud employees and effective man hours during operations, and establishes future growth in the different categories of careers allowing our employees to build a secure and happy future, a happy employee creates a responsible employee, and a happy family. EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
We have an ongoing proactive focus on employee training and development. Where possible, staff is sourced from local communities and subjected to suitable training to develop multi-skilled personel.All employees undergo thorough medical examinations, full induction procedures and, where applicable, on-the-job training to comply with the minimum competency levels prior to commencing their work on specific contract sites.
We apply the standard procedures laid out in ISO: 9002 for, amongst others – recruitment, discussion of grievances, disciplinary action, etc. We constantly strive to maintain a fair and equitable approach to the management of employees.
Typically, senior and middle management would be recruited from within SA Weighbridge and Coal Control. The client is allowed to interview and veto key appointments.
SA Weighbridge and Coal Control has formed a joint venture with Holistic Dimensions (Pty) Ltd, a Black Owned Company, which will provide the company with Human Resources, Training and Development, Recruitment and Labour Relations services.
MANAGEMENT
Our Company Management Team firstly respect all people across the board and we believe to treat other people with respect that generates mutual respect and understanding amongst everyone in our Group, manners and respecting people is a inborn natural spirit in mankind and bad habits and disrespect for people is unnatural therefore across our company structure we don’t tolerate bad manners and language, conflicts may arise but can be managed if people respect one another, happiness is when someone respect you, is kind and well mannered, wherever we go who ever we engage or communicate with we always want to implement this policy with dignity.
Our Management Team is well educated and trained and is responsible to set this example to our employees and Clients, we have a open-door communication policy for our employees and Clients and if a employee in a supervising or management position cannot satisfy a complaint anyone is welcome to take it up with the Directors and Senior Management, we believe our Senior Managers, Managers and Supervisors must set a respectable example and always be humble, arrogance, discrimination and bad manners is not tolerated amongst anyone in our Group.
COMMUNICATION
Our company has a internal policy granting each employee a line of communication with whoever they request to meet on condition that the immediate Senior person being his direct Manager / Supervisor could not solve his problem, no employee is ignored as we build teamwork and respect within our company on communication with one another.
Externally when we Contract with a Client, we employ a Management and/or Contract Operational Team dedicated to the Client for the contract period, a Senior Manager and/or Company Director will meet the Contract Manager on a weekly basis to discuss the contract operations, and the Contract Manager must report to the Client on a daily basis on site, and written reports every Monday, unless incidents occurred during other times.
REPORTING AND ACCOUNTING
Adherence to both legal and client requirements requires that we tailor our rigorous reporting and accounting systems to suit individual contracts. We maintain a comprehensive set of records (such as training, safety, production, accounting, etc.) that may be called for by the client as required.
SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Our company invest in our social development plan and concentrate on education of the youth to empower our next generations with knowledge and starting life with a solid foundation to enable them to take up employment.
LEGAL AND ACCOUNTING
Our Company has a open-book accounting system and a clean hands financial policy, Webber Wentzel Attorneys specializing in the mining industry is our lawyers and Israel, Walt, Hall International our legal advisors.
